The joint research project ServPay is conducted by the Institute of Business-to-Business Marketing and the Institute for Information Systems.
The project deals with the identification and analysis of the customer’s willingness to pay for industrial services, which are designed, implemented and offered in various forms of business models. Both institutes collaborate with several industry partners of the plant and machinery construction sector. In the new research area of costumer solutions and the integration of physical goods and services eight partner project groups cooperate. These projects are part of the master program “research for tomorrow’s engineering industry”, which is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the context of the Federal Government’s high technology strategy. The Research Center Karlsruhe (PTKA) acts as the body responsible for the project.
